MOCRA in the USA, the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA) is the most significant expansion of FDA's authority to regulate cosmetics since the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic (FD&C) Act was passed in 1938. This new law will help ensure the safety of cosmetic products many consumers use daily.

The Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) will be a major shift, harmonizing rules across Europe and introducing essential new measures, including, reduction, reuse, recycling, and more. These regulations mostly impact packaging but will have strong implications for the future of packaging design and manufacturing in the beauty industry.
